Saipem Board of Directors Approves New Organizational Structure and Appoints Alessandro Puliti as Chief Executive Officer

San Donato Milanese – The Board of Directors of Saipem SpA. (‘Saipem‘ or the ‘Company’), chaired by Silvia Merlomeeting today to approve the Company’s new organizational structure.

The new structure was designed by Saipem strengthen the Company’s project execution capabilities and complete the ongoing strategic review aimed at strengthening the Group’s capital and financial structure.

Saipem will present the result of the strategic review to the financial community on the day of the approval of the Company’s preliminary consolidated results for 2021.

The new organization provides for the following: the creation of a new function of general manager with broad operational and managerial responsibilities.

The creation of a specific unit focused on strengthening the activity of financial planning and control of projects and operations of the other company.

The consolidation of legal and contract management responsibilities into a corporate department within the new office of the General Manager.

Therefore, the board of directors of Saipemafter consulting the Remuneration and Appointments Committee and the Related Parties Committee, appointed Mr. Alessandro Puliti as Chief Executive Officer of the Company.

Mr. Alessandro Puliticurrently managing director of the natural resources division at ENI SpA will start in his new role on 7 February 2022.

Based on Alessandro Puliti self-declaration, the Board of Directors has verified that it meets the integrity requirements, as stipulated by the legislation in force.

Additionally, Mr. Paolo Calcagninicurrently Deputy General Manager and Commercial Director of CDP SpA, will join the management team of Saipemreporting to the new CEO.

Mr. Calcagnini will be responsible for the aforementioned new unit focused on strengthening the financial planning and control activity.
