Effective April 1, Hospice of the Western Reserve and Stein Hospice merged into one organization.
Hospice of the Western Reserve, headquartered in Cleveland, is a leading provider of hospice and hospice care services in northeast Ohio, while Stein Hospice in Sandusky has a service area encompassing Erie, Huron, Ottawa, Lorain, Sandusky, Seneca and surrounding counties.
Hospice of the Western Reserve and Stein Hospice have worked together for decades in hospice and hospice care, according to a press release.
Bill Finn, President and CEO of Hospice of the Western Reserve, congratulated Jan Bucholz, outgoing CEO of Stein Hospice, for his leadership and collaboration.
“Jan’s dedication and unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care has had a lasting impact,” Finn said in the statement. “His leadership has been instrumental in building Stein’s reputation as the premier nonprofit provider of hospice and hospice care.
“We are in an increasingly competitive environment,” he continued. “This new partnership ensures that future generations will continue to have access to the best and most comprehensive end-of-life services available anywhere. Together, we will build on our shared foundation of excellence to serve future generations with the compassionate care that has characterized both organizations for over 40 years.
