New organizational structure for a simpler ENGIE commissioned on July 1

HOUSTON, June 30, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — With four Global Business Units and newly created EQUANS, a leader in the provision of multi-technical services, ENGIE’s new organizational structure is now established. At May 18, 2021, Chief Executive Officer of ENGIE Catherine MacGregor unveiled the Group’s strategic roadmap, to reaffirm ENGIE as a leader in the energy transition.

In accordance with the planned schedule, the new organizational structure will be effective July 1, 2021, and will bring:

  • Greater simplicity in the management of the Group,
  • Better operational performance with increased focus on core businesses,
  • More efficiency thanks to the pooling of support functions.

The new structure includes:

  • 4 Global Business Units (GBU): Renewables, Energy Solutions, Networks, Thermal & Distribution. These four GBUs, which reflect the Group’s businesses, will be responsible for their respective financial performance.
  • A geographical platform structured with regional hubs to pool support functions, coordinate entities at country level, which will be in charge of managing local Group players and leveraging synergies between activities.

EQUANS will now operate as an autonomous entity within ENGIE, led by its CEO Jérôme Stubler and his management team. With 74,000 employees in 17 countries and an annual turnover of more than 12 billion euros, EQUANS is a new world leader in multi-technical services, strongly positioned in growth markets.

To strengthen its presence in these markets, EQUANS has chosen a name and a brand identity that convey all of its values ​​and ambition. His signature – “Empowering transitions” – testifies to the commitment of its employees to their customers, their ability to innovate and adapt to provide them with high added value services.
